Along with a few bug fixes RingCentral recently announced a great new VoIP feature for iOS users. After updating the app your iPad or iPhone will be able to accept VoIP calls using only your device’s 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi connection. For iPhone users this will mean that you wont need to use your carrier minutes to accept calls. For iPad and iPod Touch users those devices effectively become full-featured phones capable of both receiving and placing phone calls.
“Our goal is to enable you to use your business phone system anywhere and everywhere,” he says. “With this new feature, you can answer your business calls from our iOS app with just a data connection – an especially useful feature when your carrier connection is unreliable.” -Vi Chau, RingCentral’s director of product management in charge of mobile apps
If you haven’t updated yet I would highly recommend this one and if you aren’t using RingCentral yet for your business phone system give us a call at (888) 518-3718.
